On Wednesday, May 20th the Chamber of Commerce Membership elected a new President for a two year term of office. We welcome Jan Lavertu - Co-Owner of West Coast Home Hardware to the helm. Jan's Executive Committee consists of Past President - Teresa Bird, Vice President - Kris Patterson, 2nd Vice President - Brad Minton, Treasurer - Deb Haggard and Secretary - Gord Groves.
One Year Term Directors include: Bob Kanngiesser, Nicole Mitchell, Neil Malbon, Cherie Williams and Heather Graydon. New to the Chamber is a slate of 2 year directoris including: Dale Henderson - Coastal Community Credit Union, Rebecca Palmer - Gayle's Fashions, Cindy Solda - Solda's Restaurant, Bill Brown - AV Employment and Sarah Jones representing both Coast Orthotics and Walk the Coast.
The Chamber meets 9 times per year typically last Thursday of the month with the exception of July, August and December. As well, the Chamber holds Monthly Dinner Meetings, also at the end of the months and excluding those months noted above.
The Chamber is involved in several local community committees and is always open to feedback and comments from our membership.
