Junior Achievement Coming to ADSS - Friday, May 23 - Can you Help?

To Port Alberni Business & Community Leaders – an invitation!

submitted by: Gail Stroud - Program Coordinator - Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement is a non-profit, focused on financial literacy, work readiness programs and entrepreneurship development in schools grades 5-12. JA provides Ministry of Education approved curriculum that is FREE to schools.  The uniqueness about JA are the volunteers who are Business and Community leaders who go INTO the classroom sharing their life and work experience, making the curriculum real and relevant for the students.

JA is thrilled to share that we have a facilitation opportunity Friday May 23 8:3-2:00 at Alberni District Secondary School.

Please review this link of Economics for Success that occurred in Port Alberni 2013,

Cherie Williams, board member of the Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce,  is the dedicated and passionate advocate for JA’s success recruiting approximately 20-23 local Business owners and Community leaders. Will you be included in this influential list?

YOU can make a difference in YOUR community. Mentoring to them what success can be achieved in their own community.

As a volunteer, you will be provided with a kit that contains all the tools and training you need to present the program. Please call me or go to www.jabc.org/volunteer to place YOUR application, a step that gets YOU into the classroom that impacts the YOUTH!
