HISTORY

As the oldest funeral home in the community, Chapel of Memories Funeral Directors was originally known as Stevens Funeral Home, located in the township of Port Alberni. In 1964, a new facility was built at the present location on the corner of 6th Avenue and Maitland Street where the funeral home was relocated. It was then sold by the Stevens family in 1972 and renamed Chapel of Memories Funeral Directors.
